NutriClaim actively participates in large international research consortia, multiple collaborations with academia and is involved, on a case-by-case basis, in Food Safety-oriented study design of toxicological studies and studies related to the identification of small particles in food.
MyNewGut - Microbiome in Obesity
NutriClaim has taken part in the EU Framework Program (FP7) funded project MyNewGut: “Microbiome Influence on Energy balance and Brain Development-Function Put into Action to Tackle Diet-Related Diseases and Behavior”. https://www.mynewgut.eu/partners/
NutriClaim was work page leader of the work package “Development of recommendations and guidelines for European public health and the scientific requirements for microbiome-related health claims”. The work was presented at the 1st Symposium Microbiota & Food, Paris, 14 June 2018. (see Presentation) and published in Trends in Food Science & Technology (average impact factor: 10.77 over past 10 years).

FOOD2COME - Alternative protein sources
NutriClaim was part of the EU Horizon 2020 consortium FOOD2COME: “to assess the viability of a food system that use algae (macro- and micro-) and fungi as alternative sources of proteins and other ingredients to produce safe, healthy, and affordable food products”, as Work Package leader of the work package “Regulatory, standardization, diet design and policies”.
The project aimed at providing the definitive boost to get microalgae biomass-based food to market.

Food security – protein sources
In the context of the Food and Agriculture Organization-endorsed ‘Year of the Pulses’ (2016), NutriClaim BV was a keynote speaker at the International Conference; Food Security, Agriculture Sustainability & Pulses held on in Muscat, Oman, 5 December 2016.
